F3: Baby Steps – Big Impact: Supporting Communities in Implementing PIWI (Parents Interacting with Infants) Group
The first “one thousand” days in the life of a child is a time of the greatest potential and the highest vulnerability. In order to best support our babies, we need to increase capacities and competencies of their parents or other adults who care for them. Just like parents/caregivers need support, communities need help in using new strategies and techniques to create supportive and nurturing experiences for their families. This session will feature PIWI (Parents Interacting with Infants) framework – as a way to increase caregiver’s capacity and will offer information and resources on implementing the framework in communities.
