Devereux Center for Resilient Children
Deborah Alleyne is an Early Childhood/Child Welfare Specialist and National Trainer for the Devereux Center for Resilient Children. Deborah has worked in the field of Early Childhood, Special Education and Mental Health for over 30 years. Prior to joining the Devereux Center for Resilient Children, she worked as an Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant for a CCR&R, and as the Disabilities and Mental Health Services Manager for Early Head Start and Head Start in New York State. For a number of years, Deborah was a preschool special education teacher and program administrator in New York State. She currently resides in Tampa, Florida, where in collaboration with the lead child welfare agency in central Florida, she developed and implemented a resilience-building and social emotional wellness program for foster parents of young children. Deborah is the author of the curriculum Your Journey Together: Building the Resilience of Children and Families, published in 2015 by the Devereux Center for Resilient Children.
